Al-Wakīl — The Trustee
مَن عرف الوكيل سلَّم، ومَن سلَّم استراح قلبه.
هذا الشهر نتعلّم كيف نصنع ما يُتعبنا في يدِ مَن لا يعجز ولا ينام.Whoever knows Al-Wakīl surrenders, and whoever surrenders finds rest for the heart.
This month we learn how to place what wears us out in the hands of the One who is never incapable and never sleeps.
﴿ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا ﴾
Lord of the East and the West — there is no deity except Him — so take Him as Disposer of your affairs
﴿ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ ﴾
And whoever relies upon Allah — then He is sufficient for him
﴿ حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ ﴾
Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best Disposer of affairs
﴿ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ ﴾
And He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs
الإنسان يقلق أكثر كلما ازداد وأُلف راحته — بين أيدينا كل شيء إلا المأمنينة.The more comfort we gain and grow used to, the more we worry — we hold everything in our hands except tranquility.
قالها إبراهيم حين أُلقي في النار، وقالها محمد ﷺ بعد أُحد. الكلمات لم تكن هروبًا، بل أقوى موقف.Ibrāhīm, peace be upon him, said it when he was thrown into the fire, and Muhammad ﷺ said it after Uḥud. The words were not an escape — they were the strongest stand.
القائم المستقل بجميع ما يحتاج إليه الموكِّل — وكالة العاجز تختلف عن وكالة القدير.The One who independently takes care of everything the one who entrusts Him needs — and the trusteeship of the weak is not like the trusteeship of the All-Powerful.
